The Veterans of Foreign Wars offers several Community Scholarship and recognition awards. The process for these start at the Local Post. Winners at the local Post are forwarded to the District level, then to the State Level and finally State winners go to national.
VFW Post 2280 currently participates in several of these opportunities; The Voice of Democracy scholarship program for High School students, The Patriot’s Pen scholarship program for middle school students, Scout of the Year program, as well as the Teacher of the Year Award.
